SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed with regards to the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area daily. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a high influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
